Happy September!
In composing this month's newsletter, I was happily reminded just how wonderfully active the Hamptons are into the Fall. No longer just a summer destination but truly, an easy day trip to enjoy the myriad of events that continue beyond Summer. Read more below on festivals, sales, farmer's market, in season apple/pumpkin picking, vineyard events and more. It IS my favorite time of year here and I love sharing such events with you.
I had previously projected in a recent newsletter that market activity would pick up, similar to pre Covid years, by end of summer. In fact, that has been the case. Summer mindset in the market saw a very quiet two months both for sales and rentals. Mid August came and the market has seen an uptick with buyer's interest and some new inventory coming to market. Coupled with lowered interest rates, the market could be set to a more robust quarter.
If you haven't been aware, Compass is fighting for you the Seller as well as their brokers. Many of you may have heard rumblings of this as we battle the one sided practices of Zillow and NAR. A great article to read which really explains how Compass is advocating for us all. Worth the read.
