Brrr. it has been a cold start to 2024! Memorial Day is only 4 months and 8 days away, so don't despair. While the cold settles in here, there is still a lot going on. You will see building almost everywhere. For all the snow birds, you can always seem to count on returning to your Hamptons with at least one or two things new that weren't there when you left.
The real estate market saw quite an uptick in activity in the middle of December, just when the interest rates dropped. With a projected rate decrease in this election year, we are seeing some new properties come to market and lots of buyers who are still looking. I do suspect it will be a good year to purchase AND sell. The rental market has definitely improved from 2023, so don't delay. Many homes are already secured for Summer 2024.
I continue to work with my fellow colleagues both in the Western market of NYC, Westchester, Florida and Conneticut.
