Ah, March... when we likely are all welcoming in the change of season with daylight savings yielding longer days to enjoy some outdoor activity and more chances of warmer temperatures and sunshine.
Inventory remains low, more buyers than there are properties to sell. A statement that persists and is common in the industry.
Chief of the Fed, Jerome Powell mentions the following:
“The housing market is in a very challenging situation right now. Problems associated with low rate mortgage [lock-
in] and high [mortgage] rates and all that, those will abate as the economy normalizes and as rates normalize. We will still be left with a housing market nationally, where there is a housing
This scenario has potential for housing prices rising. It may be best to buy sooner than later. Never has the term "Date the rate, marry the house" been more applicable. With little sale inventory, the rental market has been busy and will continue to get busier with warmer temperatures. Don't delay as the inventory will thin with time.
