Did you know...Some WWII history is right here in Westhampton at the former Suffolk Air Force Base (AFB) and the former Mitchel Field Army Air Base. Further investigation of the Bombing & Gunnery Range Complex project area is set to begin to evaluate the soil contamination that keeps rearing its ugly head from munitions, rockets, practice bombs, and metals.
