Seal Season | Be Aware | Be INFORMED

02/18/25

If you come across a seal you believe in is in distress, it is important not to approach the animal and immediately call the 24-Hour Stranding Hotline at (631) 369-9829. It is important to listen to our biologists' instructions and not interfere with the animal. Many times, these animals are simply trying to get some rest. Seals are solitary animals, so many times, you may see pups alone. It is important to note this is perfectly normal!
